3ARTISTS: CELEBRATING AUTISM
Our mission is to highlight the strength, genius, and creativity of autism, and use the exhibition as a model for how to employ the arts as mechanism for equal access. We also aim to shift community perceptions about autism, serve as advocates and allies to our autistic self-advocate colleagues, and to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work.
3artists was founded by Elizabeth Stringer Keefe and has been an annual event since 2012. The exhibit is organized and planned by volunteers. It serves as an authentic learning experience for educators seeking to learn more about autism and the arts. We periodically fundraise to support our ongoing work, and hope to establish a paid internship for an autistic adult on the gallery team.
