Although no one wants to struggle with the social deficits that come with autism, I believe autism has given me a unique way of seeing the world. I hope my artwork provides a fresh perspective on my subjects, inspires others to create, and will ultimately be my legacy. I also hope you can see from my story an example of how identifying and encouraging the strengths of autistic people can help them develop self-confidence and build skills that can lead to successful and fulfilling adult lives.

"My inspiration comes from people and things I see every day. I usually draw them in a journal or sketch an idea and eventually all or part of the thoughts make their way onto the canvas. My mind gets full of images, overloaded sometimes, and putting them down on canvas can help purge my mind of the constant turmoil of the emotions they make me feel, good, bad and ugly”
